Love Will Tear Us Apart / Susanna and The Magical Orchestra

“When the routine bites hard
And ambitions are low
And the resentment rides high
But emotions wont grow
And were changing our ways,
Taking different roads
Then love, love will tear us apart again

Why is the bedroom so cold
Turned away on your side?
Is my timing that flawed,
Our respect run so dry?
Yet theres still this appeal
That weve kept through our lives
Love, love will tear us apart again

Do you cry out in your sleep
All my failings expose?
Get a taste in my mouth
As desperation takes hold
Is it something so good
Just cant function no more?
When love, love will tear us apart again”

    Nice one.
Speaking of music, remember Ane Brun? She’s playing here soon – I emailed Camilla about it because I’m such a dork and I’ve lost your email.

I was tagged in a blogmeme and did choose that version for the best song about love. And found a plethora of covers of the JD-song. Crazy. But Susannas version is even better than Swans coverversions.

@Dabitch: I really wanted to go and see Ane Brun in Malmö, but as I’m currently in system release hell at work and work quite late every day, I couldn’t go. Bummer! Hey, when Camilla comes back from Africa in a month, we should come over to Malmö on a trip. I hope to se you soon!

    @Deeped: I agree :-)

I was thinking about the so often mismatch between lyrics and melody in songs while listening to Johnny Cash’s Cocain Blues @Folsom Prison this morning. While the melody is crazy circus country, the lyrics are as raw and dark. There is no match between the two. Makes it interesting, though. Maybe it’s a trick meant to be made?
